1.  Description

The overspeed module DMOPC001 is specially designed for the DEH.16-bits XC164CS chip microcomputer of Infineon and the high-powered CPLD are used in this module.The module also apply the 16- bits high speed serial A/D chip to manage the rotate speed signal with the XC164CS to promote the range of measurement and the precision of measurement. The output of the module is the normal 4~20mA signal and the normal pulse signal according to the rotate speed, at the same time, when detecting the situation of overspeeding, power load unbalance,the output of the module can also be the corresponding switch signal.The module uses the isolated DC/DC converters as the power supply to insure the working power separate with the supplying power.The module also adopt multi-protection in the circuit on the PCB and the initialization parameters keeping in the FRAM to insure the hot-plugging.

3.  OverSpeed Module Terminal Block Wiring Information

 

The rack of overspeed device has a simplified wiring diagram label on its side, which appears above the terminal block. This diagram indicates how the wiring from the field is to be connected to the terminal block in the base unit.

 

The diagram for the power supply of overspeed device is illustrated in Figure 2. The diagram for the overspeed module module is illustrated in Figure 3. The

following table lists and defines the abbreviations used in this diagram.

All field signals leaving/entering the cabinet should be in shielded cables. The frequency input signal from the signal source must be in twisted-pair shielded cables. The shield must be grounded (see Figure 3).

8.  How to Setting The OverSpeed Module

The Surface of the OverSpeed Module diagram is illustrated in figure 6. Set the initialization parameters according to the display and the LED of panel.

Turn the rotary coding switch 1 and 2 and make them both indicate to zero,then put the module on the rack of overspeed device and electrify it.There are all 10 parameters on the rotary coding switch 1 can be set. The definition of them is shown as follows(Table 3):

The module will be initialized before leaving factory. When the module is electriferous, the first parameter will be displayed on the screen cause the Rotary coding switch 1 refers to zero. If there is no need to change, then turn the rotary coding switch 1 to code one to set the second parameter. Then do the rest like what said before.

 

If changing the setting parameters, press the Button Speed/ALM for about 3s. Set the parameters after all the LED on the panel being lighted once. Firstly, turn the highest bit of rotary coding switch 2, then prees the button Speed/ALM and set the rest bits, the value set will be displayed on the screen. After setting the parameters, press the button Speed/ALM again, when all the LED on the panel lighted once, what shows the parameters have been saved in the FRAM. Now the setting parameters will be displayed on the screen.

 

The change of lights when setting the parameters is shown as follows (Table 4):

After setting all the parameters, take out of the module and turn the rotary coding switch 1 and 2 to 5 and then put it on the rack of overspeed device.
